Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement (ICHRA)

A personalized and adaptable health solution that enables businesses to reimburse employees for their healthcare costs, including insurance premiums and medical bills.

Choose the Plan That Actually Fits Your Life

Instead of being stuck with one company plan that might not work for you, ICHRA lets you shop the entire ACA marketplace and pick the coverage that matches your specific needs. Whether you need your current doctors, specific medications, or certain types of coverage.

Your Coverage that Goes With You

Unlike traditional employer insurance that you lose when you leave your job, with ICHRA you own your individual plan. If you change jobs, get laid off, or go freelance, your health insurance stays with you.

Lower or Zero Out-of-Pocket Cost

Your employer contributes a fixed monthly amount (like $400-600) toward your premium. Many employees find plans that cost less than or equal to their employer's contribution, meaning health insurance costs them little to nothing.

Maximum Flexibility

ICHRA works for diverse life situations. Whether you're single, married, have kids, are on a spouse's plan, or have unique coverage needs. You're not forced into a one-size-fits-all solution.

What is ACA?

The Affordable Care Act (ACA), often referred to as “Obamacare,” is a comprehensive healthcare reform law enacted in 2010 aimed at expanding health insurance coverage, reducing healthcare costs, and providing preventive care. The law includes provisions such as the creation of health insurance marketplaces, the expansion of Medicaid, and the establishment of 10 essential health benefits that insurance plans must cover.

Qualifying health insurance coverage, also known as minimum essential coverage, refers to any health insurance plan that meets the standards set by the ACA. Any health insurance plan that does not meet the minimum requirements is not considered a “major medical” plan.
