Cleanings and exams are usually covered right away and cost little to nothing.
Fillings and extractions are often partly covered.
Major work, like crowns or root canals, is partly covered (though there may be limits).
Veneers, implants, and other cosmetic procedures are typically not covered.
You’ll pay out-of-pocket for orthodontics.
Plans usually don’t cover care from periodontists, endodontists, or oral surgeons.
